Projects

A bird's-eye-view overview about our amazing projects. Although the main focus of the lab is verification, I usually give a lot of freedom to students to what they want to work on :)

Co-simulation of multi-core systems

Verification method of co-simulation and multicore systems are mutually exclussive concepts. This project looks into closing this gap.

Let it flip: approximate ML models

DRAMs need to be periodically refreshed, which has a series of drawbacks. In this project, we allow the DRAM to flip the bits when extending the refresh rate and study its effects on machine learning programs, due to the probabilistic nature of these workloads.

Simplifying chip fabrication

Chip fabrication has traditionally been considered an extremely difficult and expensive process. While there is some truth to this perception, we believe it can be simplified. This project aims to build a simple, portable photolithography station designed for technology nodes from the 1980s.
